What is A Little Something From M.E.

About a year ago, I ventured out to open my own Etsy shop. As scary as that was I did it. I also then opened a Instagram account, again also being scary. I truly am a private and quite person. I took a chance and I have loved almost every second of it.

I started my craft maybe in high school. But my craftiness has always been in me. My mother and My Godmother have always been crafty ladies. They have taught me so much. In high school I loved scrapbooking. I loved telling my story in that moment. If I had all the time in the world I would love to get back to scrapping. It would always take me back to that moment. I loved knowing I wasn't going to forget the memory of that photo. I guess that was and is my fear, forgetting the great moments. There's an expression out there, the reason you take photos is because that it what you fear losing the most.

So anyways...

I loved scrapbooking with my mom at this cute store we had in our town. The owner of the story was and is so kind. She taught me a lot as well. I miss having a local store with crafts like that.

That's an idea one day a store, but with everything closing how would one survive it? I don't know about you, but I love to be in an actual store shopping. Seeing my item that I want to purchase.

But for now, one can wonder.

My journey on cards started almost 2 years ago. I took on a challenge for myself and began sending birthday cards out to family. I loved the response and photos they would send to me. The joy it brought. I know I love getting happy mail. And it's nice to see someone took the time out for them. I wish I was I had it all and could put more into the cards but then a card would have to do. And it did just that and what I had wanted, to give someone a smile and the feeling of they are loved and thought of.

So I knew I could make cards. I then after many tossing and turning nights, opened my etsy store. And it was not successful at first and took time but little by little I started to teach myself things I needed to do to help myself become noticed and I had my first "cha-ching" from a non family or friend, it was awesome and scary.

I also started to meet amazing people on Instagram. Different companies and fellow crafters what a great community. The things so many have taught me through Instagram is awesome.

So card making, with a little more is how a Little Something From M.E. Began.
